Sakrisøy - Reinebringen
Today it's the classic: Reinebringen. Up the stone steps built by sherpas we climb steeply and soak in the incredible view over Reine, fjords and mountains, the weather cooperates exactly long enough. The evening belongs to an apéro, dinner and yet another Monopoly defeat for Nicolas.
Today we have a delicious breakfast in our cottage and enjoy the view from our mini-villa. We have a view of the beautiful orange houses of Sakrisøy with the fjord arm reflecting the houses beautifully.
Today we want to climb the Reinebringen, so we leave relatively early for the starting point of the hike, the Steffenakken car park on the E10. From there we walk about 25 minutes to the Reinebringen Trail Head. Over stone steps built by Tibetan Sherpas, a steep path leads to the top of the mountain. On the way and at the top we enjoy the incredible view over fjords, mountains and lakes. We are very lucky with the weather, as it is still sunny for a short moment when we reach the top, just before it becomes increasingly cloudy. We eat our lunch, homemade sandwiches, before we start the descent.
At the bottom, Annina calls the family and Nicolas launches the drone. When we arrive at our car, it starts to rain lightly - we’ve just been lucky again!
After shopping and a short detour to the Lofoten Store, we drive to our mini-villa, where we have a cosy apero and dinner. After eating, we play a round of Monopoly on the iPad, where Annina beats Nicolas for the third time in a row…
