This morning it is time to pack up again and clear out the rorbu, because today we are moving to the next accommodation. After checking out we first drive to Å, in (finally) fine weather, and explore the last fishing village that can be reached by car. Here we see a few sea eagles again too!
We also visit the viewpoint with a view of the mountains and the sea once more.
But the weather turns very abruptly. The rain is announced briefly by a rainbow and already we are in the next heavy downpour. Annina is almost blown away by the wind, so we quickly go back to the wind-sheltered car and set off towards our next accommodation, which is only 10 minutes by car from our previous one, further north towards Ramberg. Before we can check in, we go to the nearest shop and buy only the groceries we really need. We stop at a few viewpoints again, but mostly all we get is a view of fog and rain. Unfortunately a hike makes little sense in this weather. So we drive to our new accommodation and look forward to the warmth. The accommodation belongs to the Lofoten Cabins Kåkern, a row of newly built, modern little red fishing houses by the sea. Our little house is right on the sea with a view of the mountains.
Inside everything is very modern and bright, with huge windows facing the sea and the mountains. The sofa right in front of the window first invites us to read comfortably and edit photos. Before we make potato gratin and salad in the evening, there is also a fitness workout.
