Today is already our last day here in Vienna. We check out of the hotel and leave our suitcases there. Today we get our breakfast at Henrys again, it is egg salad and bread rolls. We eat in the Burggarten park with a view of the small lake. We still have some time before we leave and walk to the Karlskirche, since we haven’t seen it yet. Unexpectedly, a live concert is taking place there. The musician performing sings and plays guitar and harmonica. We enjoy the atmosphere and the music until the end of the concert. Later we walk along the shopping street and go into a few shops, but without buying anything. To round off our visit to Vienna, we go to the famous Sacher Café and eat a piece of original Viennese Sachertorte.
The chocolate cake tastes very good to us. To help our digestion, we lie down in the Burggarten park for the last few minutes and enjoy the sun. We go to buy snacks one last time before we pick up our suitcases and walk to the station. From there we take the train to the airport and back to Basel.
