Rain is forecast for today. Even so, we can get up to quite a bit in the rain! After a leisurely breakfast we drive to Ramberg, to Rambergstranda, and photograph the Red Cabin by the Sea, well known among photographers.
The old red fishing cabin stands alone on the beach and is very photogenic. We walk along the beach for a while, but because of the rain we soon have to seek shelter in the dry car. Afterwards we drive to the only petrol station for miles around and head south again. On the way we make a few stops at beautiful spots and photograph the lovely landscape.
Our next destination is the little fishing village of Sakrisøy, which lies right next to Hamnøy. Sakrisøy consists of pretty much exactly one restaurant, a fish restaurant of course, and a few fishing cabins. We still go into the combined souvenir shop and restaurant and buy a Kanelsnurrer (similar to a cinnamon roll). A bit soaked, we drive to our cabin, edit photos and spend the rest of the afternoon cosily in the dry. At the same time we do our first load of laundry. For dinner, to suit the weather, we have a hot soup with broccoli and toasted bread with salad.
